Default Compare Boise to Grand Rapids, MI

I am weighing an option of moving to Boise and could use the feedback from anyone who has moved from Michigan (Midwest) to Boise. I have a family with two children in early elementary. My main areas of concern are:

1. Children's future opportunities.
2. Diversity (My wife is from Japan)
3. Current economy in ID.
4. Employment Market. Should my job offer not work out, is there viable jobs for sales and business professional?

So far from my trips to Boise it all looks good. Having lived in CA for a number of years, I look forward to getting back to the mountains.

Cheers
