Best Dentist in Boise area
I really hate my dentist! I used to go to Emerald dental which I loved but they are not in network with Metlife. So I am researching for a good denstist in the Boise area.
Thanks

I heard good things about Dr. Croft at Kuna Dental on Linder. He'd be worth the drive.

Dr. Wilson on Five Mile. His son has taken over his dad's business of 20 years. The staff is very friendly. I'd highly recommend him.

I'd second Dr. Wilson. I've gone to see his dad all my life, and Gregg (the son) hasn't let me down. They have reasonable prices, and don't push unneccesary work. I always trust that if they say something needs to happen, it really does.
And it says something that their staff has been around so long. I think one of them is in a Halloween photo of me with my front teeth out. I'm now 30. Employee loyalty says a lot about a doctor's office.
*edit* I have no idea if they are in the Metlife network though

My husband's brother is a dentist, and has a practice in both Meridian and Boise. His Boise office is more regular cleanings, fillings, etc., and the Meridian office handles more intense cosmetic work. He was featured on the cover of the american academy of cosmetic dentistry journal last year...Wade does really good work. Anyway, here's his website: Welcome to Aesthetic Smiles

Everyone's got a best and I never shopped around growing up in Boise since my parents picked my dentist, so I can't say much for the sake of comparison/contrast.
Nonetheless, my parents took my sis and I to Skip Pierce up on Latah near its Western dead end where Americana Blvd becomes Emerald St (above Katherine Albertson's Park and across from the cemetery). Here's his info from a December 2008 document:
Skip Pierce, DDS
Summit Dental Group
480 N. Latah
Boise, ID 83706
(208) 345-8962
I never understood why many peers and children's media relayed anxiety about visits to the dentist, and I was a really easily stirred little introvert, so apparently he was doing something better than a lot of dentists. My dad had less-than-desirable dental insurance when I was growing up, too, so unless something's changed the coverage includes a wide range of groups.

I liked it when I got to see Dr. Pierce, but the last few times they've foisted me off on some other guys, I never know who I'll have an appointment with. The last time the guy added a fee that I wasn't told about beforehand. I wasn't even told there was a possibility it could be charged. So that was the breaking point for me, I won't be going back.

Ugh... more and more, I'm not surprised by some of the lows I see in business, from many surprising sources. I've seriously run out of defenses for the capitalism I was educated to believe in, but that discussion goes way beyond a dentist.
I tried...

Dr. Chris Wells is on the metlife dental plan and is now located off of Federal Way and Overland. Been going to him for a while and he is ok.
