From there we will plan a dirt bike ride around the hills of Emmett.
With some luck we could actually be there by the time your tour is up

I'll be looking forward to that dinner, my friend.

I'm on R&R right now....just a week back in Kuwait (which is where my wife is working while I'm up north), but it will be a good break to relax and unwind. We went to a BBQ this afternoon....117 degrees outside, but good to see friends.

Only had one close call so far.....back on Sept 19th when the Foreign Ministry and Finance Ministry in Baghdad were demolished by truck bombs. What wasn't in the papers was a small barrage or 3 or 4 rockets fired into the IZ to draw off the police and emergency vehicles, about 3 or 4 minutes before the truck bombs drove into place. I was coming back from a run out to Camp Stryker (out by the airport) when one of the rockets hit about 30 ft away. Fortunately it landed on the other side of a tall rock wall, so all we got a thunderous noise and a dirt/debris shower!! It was a bit of a "pucker" moment, that's for sure!

Best of luck for you getting to Emmett soon. My retirement should be around the end of September 2010, and we should arrive in the area a week or three later. I hope winter holds off for a while....house-hunting in the snow doesn't sound like fun!

After 117 degrees for months on end I would think house hunting in snow would sound pretty good
