newspud is on a distinguished road
Coming from NYC, the wages here were a shock to me. It took me almost a year to get a job - and I am making what many people here would call "good money". I make 15.00 an hour, but everything I found prior to this job was paying 7.00-10.00 an hour. At 15.00 an hour I have to say that I am pleased. I can pay my bills and also save some money on the side. Our rent (for a 3 bedroom new apt) is 695.00 a month. I share this, so my portion is half that. Bills are low, and so is food, IMO. I'm looking to buy at the beginning of next year - something I wouldn't have been able to do if I stayed in NY.
