Default Boise horse racing fans;is Les Bois Park doomed?

As a big fan of horse racing am aware that Les Bois park has canceled their 2009 meeting and also closed their doors to simulcasting. The Ada county commision rejected two bids from operators interested in taking over the facility. This was the situation in April, and have been unable to obtain more recent information. If there are any Boise area racing fans on this forum, would be interested in any newer updates or comments on the situation.

We've been watching this with interest, too. So far, I haven't heard anything different. I think the last we heard, there just wasn't going to be a racing season this year.

the county wants too much money for the lease. $250,000 a year. It is a money losing situation so anyone willing to pay that kind of rent for a run-down racing facility in this economic time is a fool.
