TreasureValley50 is on a distinguished road
Nampa and Caldwell have significantly more violent and drug crime than anywhere else in the Treasure Valley, and I would bet, the state. I say so based on having worked in law enforcement over the past decade plus throughout the valley, in both Ada and Canyon Counties.

Canyon County has a serious gang problem compared to any other area of Idaho. This bleeds into the school districts and neighborhoods, frequently making the news. Caldwell has done a fantastic job addressing the gang problem in the past 5 years or so, significantly reducing the rate of gang crime and in turn the crime rate in general. Caldwell's gang issues are a shadow of what they once were. Nampa has considerable work to do to achieve similar results, but they are trying.
