Hello,
Does anyone know the name of the church near Boise that looks like golf balls?
Thanks

Yeah, that church is very interesting looking, especially since it is down the street from a big beautiful Catholic church. I ask this out of respect to anyone who knows, but is that the kind of charismatic Christian church where people become "overtaken" by the holy spirit and start rolling around on the floor and dancing on the chairs and speaking in tongues? Just wondering because I have heard some pretty interesting stories about what goes on in there

Thanks for the replies. I couldnt remember the name. The reason I asked was because I have a long time friend that married someone who goes to that church and is now a member. Their ceremony made me a bit uncomfortable and I was wondering the same as Syringaloid. Thanks again.

I did my research and it does seem that this church is, unfortunately, exactly as Syringaloid speculated. I'd be interested in the stories that you have heard Syringaloid.
Again, thanks for the information.

Spot on. It is an Assembly of God church. I was raised Assembly at a different church, but have visited the Domes. The people are good people, but the worship is not my cup of tea. People speak in tongues, jump around and dance a lot. They lay hands on people to pray for them, then speak in tongues. There is nothing inherently wrong with it, but it can be a turn off to certain people, including me. Instead of organs, they have drum kits and electric guitars and basses.

Their actual doctrine isn't too different than a mainline church. It's just a different way to worship, if it bugs you, don't visit it. But no, nothing nefarious is going on there.
