Default Hospital/Medical care in Boise ??

We are looking at Boise as a final retirement location and need to get some real live opinions of the current situation in regards to medical care and Quality of the Hospitals in the Boise area.
I have not been able to find any meaningful past threads on this subject.
We are in Good heath now but who knows what the future holds and when an Emergency arrives, it is no time to be checking these things out.

Hoping for some Honest feed back on the Hospitals especially.

You don't say how old you are- If you are already on Medicare your options will be more limited, but that would be the same anywhere!
The hospitals in the Boise- Meridian area are great! My hubby and I have been in all of them the last 9 years. There are several large doctors groups and ideal would be to get established with one you like before you have to go on Medicare.
They have a really fine VA Hospital here also. Best thing is anywhere you live in this area is only a short trip to any medical care.

The medical care here is fantastic. I find it to be much better than in Southern California. The only caveat to that would be if you need a very specialized specialist. But for the most part, everything you need is here.

That being said, I have no insight about Medicare in the area.
