Letters from Home by Kristina McMorris. I love historical fiction romances set during WWII/1940s.

Default "City of God" by E.L. Doctorow -- Final Report

I read it to the end, but it wasn't an easy read. I love this author, but one really has to be determined to stay with this work of his. I did, because I have an interest in people's beliefs about God and cosmology, but I cannot say I would recommend it to everyone.

Meanwhile, until my next report, may you live in the City of God, wherever you are. Blessings to you and yours.

Picoult's style of writing is pleasant and to the point but the reader always "knows" the characters. The subject matter is excellent and she is able to present all sides to modern day issues. I find that I always learn something in her books and I like that.
Thanks for setting me straight on that! Don't know why I was under that impression.

I know why!

Picoult sounds like Picard (Captain Picard from Star Trek).

Just read "The Help." One of the best books I have read in a long, long time. Couldn't put it down until I finished it at 2 AM.
