I think I stopped at Hard 8. Got boring to me after that.
Looking forward to the movie. I really wish Sandra Bullock was playing Stephanie but she is too old now-what a shame it took so long to get this made

I've just recently tried a few of her books and after just four chosen randomly I can say that she reminds me of Sue Grafton in that they seem rather formulaic and after you've read a couple they are like watching re-runs.

Sandra Bullock is too old the perfect actress would be someone like Olivia Wilde.

A lot of us guys read the Evanovich books also. I love the Stephanie Plum and Lulu characters. In one of the early books the scene where Lulu cold cocked a bad guy with her purse full of fried chicken had me laughing every time I drove thru a KFC place for years. Or the "Beaver Bombs". I can't wait to see who they cast for the female characters. Grandma Mazur's part should have been played by Estelle Getty, the mother of the Bea Arthur character on Golden Girls but she has passed on. Queen Latifa has to be Lulu. Stephanie Plum. Maybe Sandra Bullock? Ranger & Morelli, I could care less.

I am sooo looking forward to her new book. I have eveyone of her series. I can read them over and over, and I have. I don't just giggle, I belly laugh. When that happens, my hubbie has me read parts to him. JE has a way to paint such a vivid visual in your brain, that I know a movie won't do justice, even if it is great.

If you think JE is an entertaining read, listen to her narrate her own stories on Audio CD's. I was on the hold list for one of her recent new books when the Audio CD was on the library shelf. I checked it out. I laughed even harder listening to her do Lulu.

I started re-reading them for my summer camping fun and am at #11. They are such fast reads. I enjoy each one more than the last and laugh so hard at Stephanie. Unfortunately, it's because we are very much alike.......

Where have you been all my life mi~mi? I have been looking for a Stephanie Plum clone for many years. Big problem is I am now an old phart and even in my prime I was no Ranger. Oh well life goes on.
