In the 1960s, a series of classics was reprinted, and send by subscription to readers, four books every six weeks, for about 5 bucks. Many of them are still in existence, showing up in used book stores. Every title is worth reading, and the list of titles is a veritable "must read" compendium, most of them non-fiction. Watch for their books, with bright, artsy covers, trade paperback size with sturdy plasticized covers. Here's a list of their titles.
