For those who turn your NOOK on and have no books - it's a software glitch. You can go to Settings, unregister, and re-register and it should come back
However, be advised if you had shelves to organize all your books they are gone. Totally. Everything is sorted by date. I can't even tell if all my books are there or not, I'd have to review my account to cross check it. And from what I got from Customer Service, they can only restore NOOK books and not general ebooks.
I am really ticked off about this one...sigh. I have loved my NOOK 1st Edition and was going to treat myself to a new one for Christmas. As of right this minute, though, I'm thinking iPad in spite of the extra cost. "Oops" doesn't work so well for me - reminds me of Bill Gates' updates....
