Who are some popular African-American romance authors? I'm interested in romance novels, and I'm looking for different tastes in romance novels, and I'm curious if there are any romance novels written by african-american authors, especially female african-american romance novelists.
Are you looking for true romance, or the urban lit? I'm not so familiar with the current authors any more. I've read a few books by Brenda Jackson and Beverly Jenkins in the past tho, and enjoyed them.
I don't think I've ever read any romance novels by black authors. I enjoy Eric Jerome Dickey's books though & they usually center around relationships. Omar Tyree has a couple of decent ones too

Margaret Johnson-Hodge writes brilliantly about black love.
