Can someone tell me what this means? It's from the preface of Allegro's The Sacred Mushroom and The Cross.
It says that the book is the most controversial book since Darwin's On The Origin Of Species. Most controversial in what sense? what is meant by most controversial?

The content within goes against the common thought/beliefs.

Does the book say that Jesus was an alien? That would be very controversial.
