I've never read anything by Eggers, but after seeing this excerpt, wow, I can't wait.

I started The Circle. I didn't find it compelling at all. I don't see myself continuing with it, especially since the new Wally Lamb will be in my hands on Tuesday. In fact, I got The Circle middle of last week, read some of it the first day I got it, and haven't picked it up since.

I read "The Circle" recently. I thought the overall theme was excellent and very relevant to what is happening in the world today as people share more and more of their personal lives online. I found the main character, Mae difficult to connect with. Parts were a little tedious but overall it was a worthwhile read. It will make you rethink social media. That is for sure!

I read it a while back and spent most of the time angry. LOL. I rarely get angry but I was with this book. It's a well written tome but I did not like anyone in it except for the fellow with the deer antlers.

Truly, it was almost like reading 1984 or at least 1984 meets 2013. If you are not a little paranoid when you start it then you surely will be when you finish it. But.....but.....having said that I will also say that it's worth the read.
