Oh, my goodness!
Bickering like children, but I am staying out of this! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Trudey Rose, for the research. No wonder I could not find the book -- it is about Mary Ingalls, but she did not write it. It is wonderful, and now I can look forward to re-reading it. Ordering it online is probably the way I'll have to get it, as CO Native seems to have overlooked that some of us are unable to drive, for whatever reason. I have health problems, and cannot always get to a bookstore.

I do not consider this bickering...do you? If so, let's take it over to the "Bickering" room!

I don't.
I was actually, though, hoping for clarification on how we are on the same side here...

We both agree that "big Box" stores and internet buying are hurting small, local businesses.
If possible, we should buy locally.
But if there are no local shops in a reasonable driving distance, what are we to do?
And, if the same item is available from both stores, one Widgit for $5.00 and one identical for $8.00, which one will most people buy?
Not fair.. but it's the way it is.
(I didn't know Colorado had a president!) I may run for it, you can be the vice president and we'll shut down all the Walmarts and Barnes & Nobles!!!

Thanks much, both of you -- one for finding the actual title, and the other for giving me a source. I actually read Follow the River many years back, but loved it so much -- inspirational, and all that -- until I wanted to replace the copy I loaned, and never had returned. Last time I looked at B&N over a few years ago, it was out-of-print, and I had since forgotten the author (again). Thanks for the research, both of you. Nice to have yet another source -- never heard of the Regulator Bookshop.
