The party has yet to begin, hiknapster.

I'll add your name to our list.

And happy holidays.

I love non-fiction, but read fiction often enough. I am not a particularly fast reader but I am ALWAYS in the midst of one. I would think that the last time I was not at some stage of reading a book would have to be about 35 years ago. Even when I didn't have a roof over my head, I still had a book.

Anyway, yes, I would love to join the book club if it isn't too crowded, already.

Should we read books no ones read? I'm thinking, that would be difficult, huh? I've never read a book twice, and have no interest in reading one more than once. Theres just too many books to read to do that.
Lola, I don't care for romance novels either. Thats why I never read "The Time Travelers Wife," even tho some really like it. I think its because I started reading at a very young age, and my mom had those Victorian love novels everywhere, so I read them just to have something to read. I got so sick of them. Now I'm sick of detective books also, but would read one "for the club."

I'd certainly like to read a book I haven't read. Thus far only Tricky D made any mention of owned books. Perhaps he made that remark because I remember how expensive English-language books are in the Netherlands.

I can start a new thread with suggestions, and add cil's to that thread if it helps.

Let's put our thinking caps on.

I'm okay with reading a book twice. I always miss something the first time around. LOL

We'd select a few books, read them together (in cyber-space) and then discuss them in a thread.

Any takers?
