My favorite author: Judy Bloom - it started with Tales of A Fourth Grade Nothing.

My favorite series:
Alice McKinley
Baby-sitters Club
Sweet Valley Twins
Boxcar children
Encyclopedia Brown
Mrs. Piggle Wiggle

My all-time favorite book had to be The Wednesday Witch by Ruth Chew. I think I read that book a million times. In close second would be The Nobody Club by Madge Harrah. There was this one book I read as a child; the main character's name was Jane and she had two older sisters and friends named Becca and Jeff. It was basically a story about her trying to survive seventh grade - but I can't remember the name of it - I loved that book.

Oh my gosh. I loved the series about Alice Mckinley. I'd totally forgot about them til I saw your list.

also loved "Harriet the Spy", that "Chocolate War" book (exact name escapes me), "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Bunnicula", "The Adventures of Tin Tin" (got most of those books from my older brother), and "The Hobbit"
I also loved R.L. Stine books as a kid. Now I really like Stephen King books. I guess these authors are a lot a like, but write books that are for different age groups.

I heard that they go all the way up to her graduating from high school with Pamela actually getting pregnant...I think the last one I read was when she was starting ninth grade. I loved Alice - oh to be a kid again with nothing to do but lie in the pool and read
