Ella, sometimes, when I especially like a work, I'll try yet another of the author's works. Hasn't Ian McEwan since published two more?

I like a French author -- Marguerite Dumas -- who writes interesting/different love stories. One of my favorites years ago had to do with a sailor, and another was an older man who becomes entranced with a beautiful young girl.
