I received this new memoir by Terkel for Christmas.
I never knew much about the man and have not read his other works, but I'm intrigued.
Any Studs fans read this yet?

I've read some of his older stuff, and was very impressed with a recent interview he had with one of the public radio folks, probably on All Things Considered.

A thoughtful man, and a thinker.

Do let us know what you think of this new book!

I very much enjoyed Studs Terkel's The Good War. I love oral histories, and I actually learned some fascinating World War II lore from this book.
I also read his Hard Times, which is an oral history of the Great Depression.
IMHO,Terkel is an American treasure--and I need to read Touch and Go!
