I started this series years and years ago, before many of the books were out. Really really enjoyed the first few or more books but then found that the books just had too much repetitive info in them over and over and over in these huge bloated books. So I lost interest. I picked up a book a couple of years ago and read it, maybe one more? Ran into the same problem.

So, I do love the story though and would like to get to the end at some point. I can't remember where I left off?

I vaguely remember Eugene....leaving the white tower on the river and getting hit on the head or captured? and I know that Thom and Matt rescued the blue Aes Sedai from some alternate universe type tower. Matt has met the 9 moons chick

Anyone know what book I should start with?

Thanks

At this point, start from the beginning. I've never been able to start from the middle of a series after a long gap between reading the beginning and starting up again.

ETA: I quit reading WOT around book 4 and didn't finish it until after Mr. Jordan passed away and they released the final books. I started from the beginning when I reread it, and there was a lot of stuff that I didn't remember.

There is absolutely no way I'm going to start from the beginning. I got bogged down 2ce trying to get through it as it is.

Anyone else?

Read the Wikipedia summaries. When you start reading stuff you don't recognize, that's where you left off. Sorry I can't be of more help, but from your description, you made it farther than I did. I quite around book 7 or 8 and haven't worked up the fortitude to finish.

I wish there were better edited, i.e. condensed versions of these

Moiraine was rescued from the Tower in Towers of Midnight, which is the second to last book of the series. So if this had happened when you were reading the series before, then you very nearly finished it.

I got them all as ebooks for my birthday. I was like you - it was too far between books to really keep up. I reread them all. Seems I dropped out at book 7.

Yep. That whole series should have been about 1/3 as long.
