The Rocks by Peter Nichols. The book is set in Majorca and goes backwards on the time line. It would be fascinating to watch characters get younger and the setting would be absolutely beautiful!

I honestly think that Lisa Unger books would make great movies , they're full of suspense and mystery , especially Die For You , this book shows the dark side of big cities such as New York and Prague in Europe and how young girls there are used as prostitutes , i think these are the kinds of books that should be translated into films to raise awareness about problems that are gone unoticed .
Most novels really require a series to do right. You just can't successfully cram a novel's depth and complexity into 120 minutes. I would love to see:
DUNE done right. Yes, I know it's been done. But not with a great deal of success.
C.J. Box's Joe Pickett books would make a great TV series. Justified was a huge hit. Now is the time for Joe Pickett to rule the small screen. But you couldn't shoot it in southern California. That would be a sin.
William Kent Krueger's books would also make a great TV series. But again, you couldn't shoot them in southern California. The setting is half the charm, and northern Minnesota looks nothing like San Bernadino.
Yes, I would also love to see a good TV series based on the Joe Pickett character. Not much chance of that, though, if Longmire (which I'm a huge fan of) is going to be the current contemporary Western show. Probably not much room for a second, similar show these days. And Longmire is of course shot, not in the book location of Northern Wyoming, but in New Mexico. Not a bad choice, actually, and NM has a very outgoing and accommodating film commission (or whatever they call themselves). How about a Longmire episode where he meets up with Joe Pickett in the Bighorn mountains?
I would really like to see the Lee Child character of Jack Reacher done right. A Reacher movie trilogy (including The Killing Floor, an amazing story with a twist), starring Ray Stevenson.

The two stories are different. Pickett's stories tend to deal with real world issues and not just a "crime of the week." Pickett has a stable family life instead of being the stereotypical "detective fighting his demons."
The setting also isn't central to Longmire, whereas it is integral to the Joe Pickett books.
