I know this may seem like a silly question but I've been reading LaVyrle Spencer's books for more than 20 years now and have always loved them. She lost one of her daughter's, Beth, back in 1990 and I was always curious as to what happened to her. I literally can't find anything on her daughter on the net other than the year of her passing.

Anyone know what happened to Beth? I always wondered how her death may have influenced Spencer's writing.....

She passed away, and it's been a private family matter since it happened. Most of Spencer's fans have respected that.

I certainly respect the fact that it's a private family matter, AnneWest, and my question about what happened to her wasn't meant to be disrespectful, just curious. Like I said, I always wondered if her daughter passing influenced her writing, as Spencer is a wonderful writer when it comes to human emotions. So calm the subtle snarkiness down, eh?

I'm so sorry, I wasn't trying to be subtle. The thing is, if you've done any googling (as I just did, to see exactly what info is actually out there) you might notice, there isn't much. The author has obviously not been publicly open about whatever happened. Why can't that be respected, because really, it's not our business.
