My mom, who'll be 89 soon, hasn't gone a day without reading for...80+ years? Constantly downloading stuff to her Kindle, pouring over her iPad for Facebook and 1001 crochet websites for new patterns...
I'd say (and her doctors agree lol) she's too busy to go and has a lot of time left too.

I heard about that study on Saturday. If many of hours of reading leads to a long life I should live well into the next millennia.

I was thinking the same.

I was thinking that about myself as well as their definition of a lot of reading isn't that much reading. However I would hate to live forever.

Too bad the people who don't read won't be reading about this study!

Does time spent reading count as "living"? I have my doubts. For many reading is an exalted form of escapism, perhaps less damaging than drugs and alcohol, but it drains heavy readers lives the same.

"A person who reads lives a thousand lives. A person who doesn't read lives only one." - George RR Martin

I'll be happy to go thus drained.
