I've read thirteen on the list. And, quite honestly, there are only 2 or 3 that I would list as being better than average among books that I've read. Cormac's McCarthy's "The Road" might well be his worst book. As I recall, Steinbeck won the Nobel Prize just after publishing "Travels with Charlie", which was absolutely, by far, his worst book.
