HELSINKI (Reuters) - In one of the quirkiest book cults America has never heard of, a round-snouted troll is hauling consumers' wallets from their pockets despite the worst recession in decades.
The license-holders for Moomin, who say license sales increased 35 percent this year, are contemplating expansion.
Good grief, I haven't thought about the Moomins in years! I read those when I was a child (longer ago than I care to remember) and they were wonderful stories.
We have a Moomin book - Moomin, Mymble and Little My - and we LOVE it. The kids adore it. We have relatives who live in Finland and sent it to us. I had never heard of it, but now wish we had more.
I have moomin mymble and little mye. We love it. A foreign co-worker gave it to our son as a gift a few years ago (it is in english). I show it to people and they all love it. Really cute!!
