My grandma turned me on to Dick Francis.
This was years ago. I was visiting her in Nantucket and she left one of his books (Bonecrack? No, maybe Rat Race) in the guestroom for me in case I needed reading material. I was riveted.
She and Mr. Francis are both gone now, but the books and the memories are forever.
