My husband and I found a house in Mansfield that we love, but I am concerned about the commute to Boston. We are currently in Quincy as I work in Boston and my husband works in Raynham. It currently takes me about 35-45 minutes now on the T. I have about a 15 min walk from south station. We have been looking in Canton, Westwood, Braintree, Milton, and sharon but started to look further out since we were having trouble finding houses in our price range ($550,000 max) that we liked. We arent too familiar with mansfield but have heard good things about the schools and we love mansfield crossing. I am just nervous about the commute.

Does anyone out there do the Mansfield to Boston commute? How long does it take and are you able to find a seat on the express train in the morning? And any other thoughts on Mansfield are appreciated.

I would say from Mansfield to SS it would be at least 45 minutes to an hour. It is about 30 minutes from Canton. A lot depends on how far from the station you are.. since driving from one end of mansfield to the other can take a while.

The commute from Mansfield to Raynham would be a lot better than from Quincy though.
