I am in the very early stages of considering moving to Boston for school (I'm in my mid 30s, recent graduate from Tulane University in New Orleans).

I'm a bit intimidated by the cost of living...just wondering how the job market is in the area? I'm an experience IT Support professional (although my academic background/internships were in government/political campaigns)

I know the area is overly popular for students..but there are a lot of good options in Boston for adult students, Northwestern and the Harvard Extension School being 2 at the top of my list right now.

Job market is quite tight right now up here and cost of living is very high. Make sure you land a job here first before moving. Be prepared to live on a tight budget unless you are sure you are going to make a lot of money. Rents typically run over $1000 for a 1b and even living with roommates will cost between $500 and $800 on average.
