I am pretty sure Mike's has prices listed. Somewhere, anyway. I had $20 in cash on me once and had to get dessert for 5 people. I wanted to make sure I had enough so I checked around the store and found them posted somewhere.

I don't know about Modern.

Nope, the story is exactly as I relayed it, and both customers in front of him confirmed that neither location lists their prices. Keep in mind, I'm only referring to the locations on the strip in the North End, not other locations.

sooo... he was in boston on a rare occasion.. and missed out on great pastries because he didnt see the price listed... after waiting?

Thats just silly... Not every restaurant lists their prices, and not every bakery does either. I'm sure he could have asked the people packing everything up... especially at modern, they tend to be very helpful.

Also, especially at mikes, the majority of people in line are tourists, and merely assume, but i think the prices are there... but the point is... why wait in line, and then not try something based on the lack of prices listed... it really seems silly to me

I don't get this thread either. wouldn't have been easier to simply ask the employees for prices instead of walking out and going to another store? principal doesn't trump common sense in this situation.

plus, of the coupe dozen or so reviews regarding Mike's Pastry I've skimmed on Yelp, none seem to note the lack of prices
