Hey all,
My girlfriend is a student living in Cambridge and we are currently in a long distance relationship. She has exams coming up this week and I would like to do something special for her to brighten her day so to speak besides sending flowers which I feel I do too often. She will often order me cookies from a bakery delivery place in the city where I live and I am looking for something of that nature in Boston/Cambridge. Can any Bostonians help me out here? I sincerely appreciate any ideas anyone has for me.
Thanks,
Rick

If I was in a long distance relationship, the things I would appreciate the most would be hand written letters (love letters ), a large (the bigger the better) floral arrangement sent to me at work (or at home but work is better, we ladies like to gush over these things with other ladies). Maybe even bombard her house with flowers, like 10-15 dif arrangements arriving with a close time period.

I know you are tired of sending flowers, but they really go a long way.

Send a gift card to an upscale store (bloomies, neimen markus, etc.) and tell her to pick out something to wear for when you arrive in town and take her out somewhere special.

Thats it for now, maybe I'll think of more later.

I don't know any girl who doesn't like Edible Arrangements (get some of the chocolate dipped fruit). They're a national company, but they have a website where you can find and order through a local store (they deliver).

There's a place called kickass cupcakes - www.kickasscupcakes.com in Somerville (right by Cambridge). They deliver with a fee. Just not sure if there's a minimum order amount.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I ended up sending her an arrangement from Edible Arrangements and she loved it. I will keep Rosie's and Mike's in mind for next time.
