Hi,

I am Westsideboy from the Maryland forum. We are having a discussion about what steps residents of big cities take to prevent thefts from their parked cars. The general consensus in Baltimore is that even if you are living in a good neighborhood, you should never leave anything of value in your car, and keep the glove box and center consol open so that perps can easily see there is nothing of value in your car, otherwise you are at risk for having your car broken into.

Is that the standard in nice neighborhoods in Boston as well? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I have an alarm and always do lock the driver steering column and park not straight into an
outdoor space. I also never have anything on the seats to attrack a break in.
