I've spent 4 weeks, now, trying to find a reliable, responsive and smart dentist. I've been from one to another, but for one reason or another none of them has the time to yank my painful tooth. Periodontists, yes, but actual dentists are hard to find. Do you have one near Brookline that you like and trust? Recommendations?

Just walk into any dental office and asked for the tooth to be taken out. If they can't take it out they'll give you a referral to oral surgery. You can also google 'oral surgery brookline'. Unless you want to spend big bucks to save the gum-diseased tooth or get implant to replace the extracted tooth, why are you wasting time with periodontists anyway...when your clear intention is to take a tooth out?

I think the OP meant to solicit a recommendation, so he/she wouldn't have to "walk into any dentist's office."

just pop down to BU Dental School is money is an issue. tooth extraction isn't rocket science and any student there can do it easily.

Do not pop into BU Dental School. OP will get the runaround again wasting another two days. I went to school there so I know.

It's not rocket science but you can easily break the jaw or pull down the roof of the mouth if your don't know what you're doing.

Thanks, evee, but I've already been there and got the runaround, exactly as joebloe said. If they can't handle their schedule or return a simple phone call, I really don't want to trust them with my mouth.

Default I have the best dentist

Are you still looking?

I have the best dentist in the world. Dr. Helen Foo.
She was recommended to me by many of my coworkers. I am very shy and get very anxious when I go to the dentist or doctor. She makes all the anxiety go away. She will talk with you for a long time and truly get to know you. It is weird at first because she doesn't have any office staff, it is all her. Be prepared to be there for awhile. She is a perfectionist and loves to talk.

Anything you want to know about her let me know.
I am her biggest fan (seriously I am talking about a dentist!!)

oh she is located on beacon street by the St. Mary stop
