Default boston

boston averages around 100 murders every year, unfortunately they are all concentrated in the areas of dorchester roxbury and mattapan. these areas are flooded with gangs drugs and violence. much of the south shore is also affected by these areas. the north shore is much safer.

There are bad cities like Philly and Baltimore, then average crime cities like Boston and San Francisco and weak crime cities like Seattle and portland, that pretty much sums it up

The worst areas of Boston that catch the most murders are here www.boston-online.com/crime

the streets of Blue hill avenue, geneva ave, morton street, crawford street, intervale street and surrounding areas are the worst areas.

Which areas of the South Shore? Most towns I'm familiar with would not fit this description.

I can't really think of anywhere south of Boston that seems potentially high-crime except Brockton. I don't think it gets deadly rough in Hingham, Cohasset, and Duxbury

Hmmm yes doesn't make too much sense to me. North of Boston has alot more working-class/poorer areas (ie. Lynn, Lawrence, Chelsea, Lowell, Everett, Revere, etc...)

Boston is a walk in the park compared to other American cities. I know the drama queens are getting their undies in a twist as they read this. Yes, there are shootings, yes there are murders, blah blah blah. The shootings are mostly gang members going after one another.

Note that Boston does not have blocks of burned out, abandoned buildings like Newark, Philly and Baltimore. This is a city that has some bad neighborhoods, it is not a city with out of control neighborhoods. And note that because of demand and gentrification, you have condos going up across the street from projects (JP, Roslindale, South End, South Boston).

Boston is the same as any other city, some bad areas and also nice areas. It is just that some cities's bad areas are a lot worse and larger.
