Why would anybody get "behind" an armed force that acts to repress them? If police were seen in some communities as a force to act for the betterment of the communities, to provide safety for the population without regard to skin color, to not use excessive force and not be corrupt, communities would indeed get behind them.

Very very few people want violence in their streets, but when the armed legal force acts little better, residents are put in an untenable situation. If the police changed their culture, the community would be behind them.

I think you're the one obsessed with skin color. So now you say police are after people of a certain skin color? What took you?

Repressing in what way? They don't write the laws, they just enforce them. And yes, if you are riding on the public roads on a non-street legal vehicle, the police and the community are going to try to "repress" you.

Stop making this all about "the man" keeping down the people of colour. It's not repression, it's only enforcing the laws that the rest of society is in support of.
