Default I really miss Boston

I studied in Boston 15 years ago. I really have good memories about the city. I just wish one day I will have a chance to get back there. I am now in Thailand and lost contact of all my friends over there.

Has Boston changed a lot? If so, what are the changes. I really miss this city and my life over there.

Me too!!- I am wanting to move back after 15 years Florida/NC and Tenn. I do not fit in in the "american south". This may be a tough sell for my husband, who like low insurance and mortgage- but I think it is well worth it. Comm Avenue and the Back Bay- nothing else like it.

Default I cannot afford a Parking Space

Just to let you guys know how much a parking space cost...

In 1984, a parking spot was $10K when a small brand new 1 bedroom condo is ~$100K. Today, a parking spot starts at $40K and is easily $80K.

Recently (last 2 weeks), the record price for a parking spot (not heated garage)was $250K.

Good luck in your search. Remember to bring $,$$$,$$$ when you come back.

If someone is willing to pay, that is the price. There is no such thing as over price. Overprice is only use by people not willing to or cannot pay for it.

Seriously, if you compare prices from 15 years ago, everything is overpriced since most houses have increased at least 2X. No one knows if there is enough money to support this growth or how much the market can drop if something happens. At this point in time, the real estate market is soft. More sellers than buyers. However, I would not expect to see 30% drop within a year. 5-10% may be. A $600K house will not sell for $400K. May be $540K.
