Default New Job, Want to Move

I recently started a new job in Boston, and I want to move out of my parents house near Framingham as soon as possible. I'm twenty four, female, right next to North Station, I'm looking to keep my commute around a half hour each way, and I want to live on my own.

Any suggestions for areas in and around Boston or one of the outlying areas that would work for someone like me?

I'm considering Salem and utilizing the express commuter trains myself.

Well it all depends on your budget. Is you don't have enough money to live in Boston, Salem is great. I like it the most out of all north shore suburbs. It's walkable, has a lot going on for a small town(farmer's markets, fairs, festivals, Halloween etc), very cute. I believe you can find an apartment for around $1200. maybe a little more - depending on what you want. The train ride wouldn't be bad at all.The only downside is that it's not close to any highways, that's why I can't move there (I work in Woburn/Stoneham area) - although I would love to. But if you work in Boston, Salem is a great choice. Good luck!
