Default First time in Boston

I will be visiting Boston to attend an open day at Boston University in October. I plan to go to graduate school there in fall 08. I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Boston, 1 Avenue De Lafayette, Boston. Does anyone know how I can get to and from Boston University using the train/subway? Also, I plan to see Havard, how far is it from the hotel?

Thanks

Here's a subway map: MBTA Subway 'The 'T' > Maps, Schedules, and Fare Information for the Boston Area Subway System

You can get on at Park St. (The Common) and take the green line out to BU., or take the red line to Harvard. Which program at BU are you interested in?

I believe that the school of public health is located on BU medical campus that is in the south end so you would need to be sure which campus you are trying to get to. The medical campus is less convenient by public transportation as the trains don't go there. You can take the silver line Washington St bus from Temple Place/Downtown Crossing to East Newton St and then it is a short walk to the medical campus.
