Default smallish estate liquidation?

Creative suggestions for clearing the remnants of my late Mom's horded stuff? Trying to locate antiques and collectibles buyers in the Boston area. Not a whole lot of great value, but some. Craiglist and other classifieds are slow.

60's era barware, some furniture including one steel and several wooden desks, misc stereo equipment circa 1970 to current, small kitchen appliances, vintage radios and turntables, too many to list. Lots of household stuff from 1955-1975, some cool, some questionable.

There's a new flea market in Davis Square--I wonder if you could go and speak with someone there? Maybe bring pictures of the stuff?

What?s new?

If you want to make the most money, sell the stuff yourself at a flea market or hold a estate sale at the house. You can visit a place like the Cambridge Antique Market and see what they are price similar items for.

Consignment shops will take items and keep 50% of the selling price. And to buy the items outright from you, they will probably want to pay 25% of what they think they can price it at retail.

The problem is that I live out of state and don't have the time or storage capacity to do a flea market or succession of online sales. I have some items advertised on CG but my husband has been ill of late, our finances are greatly strained, and I work a grueling 3-11 shift in a rehab facility.

I've done the resale bit before with my late sister's goods, 20 years of a one bedroom apartment accumulation. My Mom's house is a 3-bedroom New Englander and she was a hoarder. I had already cleared 2/3 of the junk during her nursing home stay.

There is pressure from creditors and realty clients to clear ASAP. I'm still pecking away at it , mostly by my lonesome, a few days a month.
