Hi,
Can anyone give me a real ROUGH idea of what it might cost to hire movers to move the contents of our house from Braintree to Scituate? I realize this is just an estimate. We have an 8-room house, but also have a full attic and the usual yard/deck/porch furnitute/equipment. Just looking for an idea. Thank you!

You really need to call up a couple of moving companies to get estimates from them. And they'll need to send someone over to your house in order to look it over in person. And they will ask you how much of what you have will be packed by you and in what kind of boxes. There are just so many variables.

In the meantime, you should think about what is essential to keep and what to let go.

As the above poster said, there will be some variables involved in getting an accurate quote. In my experience, movers cost a bit more during the late August, early September time frame for obvious reasons.
