Hi everyone! I am new on this forum, moreover I have never been to Boston so far.
I am pregnant and going to deliver in Brigham and Women's Hospital or in Massachusetts General Hospital in April next year. I plan to come there in February-March. My budget is 2000-2500$/month for a studio or 1 bedroom apartment.
I need your help where it is better to stay for a pregnant woman (I need to walk), not far from the above mentioned hospitals? Thank you in advance for your responses!

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Both hospitals are great and to be honest all the major hospitals in the Boston area have excellent women's health programs, but Brigham and Women's is considered a world leader in OB/GYN and Women's Health.

In you price range I would recommend Brookline Village if you are delivering and attending your appointments at the hospital itself. You can either walk or there is a shuttle that runs regularly from the Brookline Village MBTA station that will drop you off at the hospital.

Thank you for your congratulations and reply!
I will search an apartment on craiglist. Probably you can advise any good realestate agency?

Yes, congrats on your pregnancy, and best wishes with everything! Brigham & Women's hospital is wonderful, you will be in great hands there.
You can find a place that is walking distance to one hospital, and short commute to the other.
Areas to consider: to be close / walking distance from B&W hospital, you can look into Longwood area in Brookline, Brigham circle (that is Mission Hill area), along Huntington ave going into Boston (Fenway). Keep in mind that there are shortcuts through Hospital building / harvard med school buildings, childrens hospital, so you can search for a place along longwood area almost up to Coolidge corner. Depends on how much walking you are planning and comfortable to do.
There are several real estate firms specializing on rentals in the area, but I still would start on craigslist. They all advertise their apartments there. You can call different offices, and choose the one that is easiest to work with.

Dear Anna_T,
thank you for your response and info re the place to stay!
I expect to delivery in April and planning to come to Boston in mid February. So I think December-January is right time to start finding an apartment. Now I know where to find.
Great to know that Brigham & Women's hospital has good reputation, as I expect my first baby and I am really anxious about a place to deliver, that is why I am going to come to Boston.
Thank you so much for your help once again!
