Exactly, there is no reason for this.

I lived in LA during the 92 riots, and while there was a curfew to be off the streets after dark, you were not forced to be in your house during the day. And it only lasted 2 or 3 days.

This is insane.

I hate to break it to you but there a lot of Irish descendants up here. The Irish had their own terrorist group called IRA. Believe they bombed a lot of places in Northern Ireland and in Britain. So I guess all all the Irish in their descendants
(Including me )are terrorists.

Shutting down a city because there is terrorist(s) on the run with explosives seems to be a smart decision.

Have you seen 'all' in that poster? No. You just thought it up. The poster says about 'rebels' only.

so when police go door to door, do you have to open and let them search?
Yes agree. 1st picture makes me think the terrorists have won. In fact if two kids can lockdown a whole city a deploy an army of cops for 24 hours means even if they die, they have indeed won a major battle anyways.

I guess I look at it differently, there is a lockdown to protect the citizens. I'm sure there is much we don't know (and may never) but think about it - if they let people free to walk, drive, etc. and all of a sudden there's a new lead, they have to race to a specific area, now they have to worry about dodging drivers and walkers. And that's just one reason. What about the possibility there could be other bombs out there? Other suspects? There are literally thousands of police being called to this manhunt so I think they need to be allowed to do their job for our safety and theirs. If it were me, I'd not have a problem as I'd know I am safer, IMO.

I've been listening to news reports and it seems like most people are being cooperative and are seemingly okay w/ police searching. Could be a media spin, who knows.

I've been debating calling up m friend who lives on Irma in Watertown, but figured they've got enough on their plate and are probably being bombarded by family. Curious about what they may say about all this.
