First of all Thanks a Ton for taking out time and helping others through this forum, I really appreciate the effort.

Coming to my requirement, I am moving to Boston (Thomson Place is the work location) mid June with 2 kids (girls under 5). I am looking for a decent 1 BR apartment to rent in the range of $1400. I am coming from Omaha NE which obviously is much quieter/cheaper than Boston. I am looking for a place where there is plenty of kids activity. Have a car but plan on taking Bus or Train to office. (30 - 45 min journey is fine).

Looking for de-leaded apartments but looks like it is a bit difficult to get one.

Suggestions please

thanks
dharma

I am not sure you will be able to rent one bed with two kids. I think you will have to find two bed. I would think that Canton or Dedham would fit the bill nicely. All the best in your search and relocation.

Canton has many modern townhomes and apartments near the commuter rail, not sure if any are $1400 and below. Dedham may be beyond your budget too. For commuting to the Seaport, possibly look at Braintree, Quincy, South Weymouth and the areas of Dorchester close to the Ashmont T to use the Red Line for transportation. Stoughton has many apartment complexes if you need to go farther out to fit your budget. Walpole has many townhome complexes and a commuter rail stop, may be too pricey though. West Roxbury has apartments in your range and commuter rail stops into South Station.
