job in Boston, Now where to live? suguestions please
I have been researching and found a possible job oppertunity I would be intrestred at the Harpoon brewery in Boston. I have tried to search for decent housing not in the city because its so expensive. I have been reading tons of posts about others moving to boston and no one seems to agree on a decent place to live what I am looking for is suguestions on reasonabally priced areas that have a commute of less than one hour into boston. I have heard watertown, waltham, and brookline are cool but have no idea of the prices in these areas. I like to go out to bars and restraunts and I have a dog so good walks are a must. If any one has any info on these places or other decent places to live or knows any one who works for harpoon I would apprectiate any info given.
Thanks

You can get an idea of prices by checking out realtor.com .
The commute is a big litmis test for us, too.
Good luck!

Check out boston.craigslist.com
The cheapest out of the three towns you mentioned is Waltham. Waltham is a decent area with some good nightlife around Moody St. I imagine you could get an average one-bedroom apartment for $1100/month. It might be tough to get an apartment that accepts dogs though.

try Roslindale, west roxbury area-maybe Chesnut hill and J.P on the Centre Street line.
Why waste all your money for rent! Just do the T to your job. Braintree, and Quincy?
might work, however with a dog. you need to let in out. Roslindale might have the 2 or 3
apt. and be friends with the landlord. They just may like a dog. Welcome to Boston.

How much will you be making and how old are you?
If your young and make atleast 50,000, I would do Cambridge or Boston proper.
