Default Cost of living

What is the usual cost of living in the actual city?

Would it be easier to live in a suburb?

What is the best part of boston to live in (activities, food, community)?

Cost of living in the actual city of Boston is fairly high. Unless you are moving from NYC or SF, it will be more than what you are used to. Great "city living" neighborhoods include Back Bay, South end, Fenway, Kenmore, north end. Suburbs are cheaper, but necessitate owning a car. I live in the back bay, and i would say its the way to go!

I recommend Back Bay also. Be prepared to pay $1500 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. North End would be ok.

My modest one bed is currently 1675. Check craigslist.
