Default New in Boston

Hi everyone,

Just arrived in the US, staying in Boston. Just getting to know the area for now, and wanted to see if anyone can give me any tips on places to go, things to do? Im currently working as a mortgage broker in Waltham, and live on Commonwealth Ave near Allston.

Thanks.

Ammar

Default Welcome Ammar...

Can you be more specific about what you'd like to do? Restaurants, clubs, pubs, seeing bands, activities like walking/hiking, theatre/film, museums? And which "category"? Cheap eats, upscale, special desires like vegetarian? What kind of food do you like?

What's your age range, as that will drastically change what we Bostonians would recommend? Living in Allston can be noisy but fun. Lots of college kids. I used to see alot of friends' bands there 20-yrs ago. Good memories.

Check out the Phoenix paper for what's happening in town. You can get it for free at local spots (Blanchard's Liquors) & in some of the outside paperboxes. They're also online.

Give us some idea of what you're looking for & I'm sure many of us can help. Welcome to Boston. There's plenty to do here!
