So a guy by the name of America Fisher is the new 6 pm and 11 pm weather guy, I think. He's reportedly from the Weather Channel, coming to his home state. Seems like a good choice.

But, what about Todd Gutner, an affable guy I came to like; it seems he's been demoted to a morning shift. Isn't that a demotion, or not necessarily?

Who retired or left so that Todd could take their shift?.

Thanks. Just curious.

Umm... his name is "Eric Fisher". He spent the past 3 years at The Weather Channel in Atlanta and was previously with WGGB in Springfield, MA.

Todd Gutner will move to the weekday morning weathercasts and Barry Burbank and Joe Joyce will split weekend duty. Melissa Mack left earlier this year to return to her native Ohio.

Your and our loss losing Todd. He was the reason that I watched WBZ news. Not impressed with the morning news lately. Used to look enjoy the morning news. No longer. Will still watch evening news with Paula Ebben and Jonathan Elias Love them and week end with Kerry Connolly just love her. Weekday mornings not enjoyable anymore.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. But I have to admit I used to love watching Sam Champion do weather reports on Eyewitness News (NYC; not sure if it was broadcast nationwide) as a kid in the 80's and 90's.

Whomever the weather person, I would like to see her/him less than every three minutes and twelve seconds.

Me too, unless we're talking about WBZ. I wouldn't mind if Danielle Niles gave us a weather update every minute
