Hello All,

Have been to Boston many times but cannot find the area of beautiful town houses shown in the "Voices Carry" video by Til Tuesday. Have searched up and down the Internet and there isn't mention of it either.

Anyone?

TIA

Marlborough St maybe? Aimee Mann used to live and work around Newbury St, probably near there

I did a search on "voices carry" video location and found this:

"Voices Carry" video filming site - Boston, Massachusetts

Click the crosshairs on the building in the sat map.

Using the coordinates it gives of 4220'34"N 714'35"W in Google Maps, to get street view, looks like the location.

I'm guessing Chester Square on Mass. Avenue. Specifically, about 535 Chester Square. Here's my reasoning:

1) rounded bow front homes are much more common in the South End than Back Bay. Marlborough St. Etc have more angular bow front homes.

2) the street wall in the video seems to curve inward. Back Bay and most South End streets are fairly straight for the most part. Chester Square forms two C shapes off of Mass. Ave. which makes for one of the few places in the city where you'll see that type of street wall curving.

3) the wavy stoop is similar to that of many of the Chester Square homes.

Check 535 Chester Square on streetview. If its not 535, it's most likely another in that area.

I only watched a little bit of the video, but from what I saw my first thought was the South End. Your Google search seems to support my guess.

Yeah, on second thought, that looks like the spot. Doubled up wavy stoop, curving streetwall... it matches perfectly. This is the street view. It looks like either the first or second "wavy" stoop in the frame.
