There's only one strip club in Boston - centerfolds. And hell yeah. Guys there are more well behaved than your typical sports pub.

Centerfold is not a problem. But there are still a few characters floating around there who haven't gotten the message that Combat officially ended there 20 years ago.

I would do it. Just don't pay to much attention to it. If you're a woman, you may not like what you see. It might be fun to pop in for a drink since its stumbling distance to your house.

I would be more concerned about the hobos in that area anyways. They are pretty freaky and I'm probably not allowed to say much more here but I have a source that has witnessed the hobos do some craigslist ish in the alleys and even sneaking into buildings down that way.

Why are you not allowed to say much more here?

Good question. I'm sure by "Craigslist-ish things" she's not referring to selling used furniture, but more likely prostitution. I can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with someone saying that here.

Would you then find a home in a building next to a famous strip club (or two) if you wanted to be in a relatively vibrant and safe area? Or in other words, can strip clubs, safety and healthy nightlife coexist?

Context: A new building is offering decent prices (although still whopping compared to many other areas) in downtown. It is a very short walk to the workplace, making it incredibly attractive, but not enough to forgo the nightlife scene and safety element.
I wouldn't rule it out if you were single or a young couple. I wouldn't do it if you had a family for obvious reasons.

Besides, strip clubs are not always filled with drug attics and punks. Some are for sure but some attract more high end clientele that have fat wallets. If this is a high brow area, then it's likely the latter crowd and there is not much to worry about. In this case, it's more about you being personally ok with seeing dudes walking in and out and having smokes out in front of this place on a regular basis, as you should have nothing to worry about safety wise.
