Whoa! This post really took the wrong turn when it ended up in the New York forum.

To the OP: Firstly do not go to Ruggles Station! The line to Natick is not served by that station and you will get further lost.

I checked your destination address on Google Maps and it is not close to the Natick commuter rail station. There is a separate transit authority, the Metrowest Regional Transportation Authority, that does run buses in that area so you might want to check their website to see if they have any connecting buses to the commuter rail station. You will end up having to pay a separate fare though because it is a separate system.

I don't know where in Waltham you are living but it is most likely you will have to take a bus to commuter rail to bus to get to your workplace, that is 2 buses and one train ride. Not an easy commute if it can be done at all.

Pray tell how did you land a job in Natick and choose to live in Waltham without a car?

Here's a google maps link for your trip: http://goo.gl/maps/KjTlg

I hope by "some work purpose" you mean you won't be taking this trip regularly. It's at least 90 minutes.

Depends where in Waltham and Natick. You'll probably have to take that 554 bus that goes to Newtonville and then hope on the Worcester T but get off at Natick. It's an interesting commute. Wish public transportation in Boston better served these alternative routes to work, which are the majority.

Will you need to do this for a week, a month or permanently? Relying on public transport this far outside Boston will be painful. If you are here a week or a month, consider renting a car or get someone at work to give you a ride. If long term, don't you need a car for other necessities anyway - food, shopping, etc?
